Radiant Floor Can You Install Radiant Floor Heat Over A Concete Slab?

Can you install radiant floor heat over a concete slab? - radiant floor

We have the rebuilding of a house, a room with a concrete slab. We have no carpet, and I thought of a radiant heating system if possible to install. Or would it be better to use the baseboard? Thank you for your help.

Yes! There are a number of different brands. I Suntoucher installtion, and with them were happy. You need an electrician to run wiring and carpets themostat hook real power.

If the installation, you need to test before putting them on the floor. I recommend a contractor who has expeience with, though.

Moreover, it should, great room a drawing made to scale and sent to the manufacturer, so they can take the material to correspond exactly to your room. Suntoucher material that I was, can not be truncated or not.
There are also other brands, others may be cut, but not used.

Not cheap, but works very well. Your feet will not love with plants in the cold winter!

Yes, but it is expensive. Routerid a hot water system with pipes running water in cracks in 3 / 4 "plywood. The wood must be attached to the concrete with either a" Hilti "are attached firearm or drilling. Then it must still at least 1 / 4 Cover" plywood sand / Luan for a plate or be very careful when installing a floor or engineering (not Pergo). During the installation of wood on this system, it is better, the pressure during the installation as air, you know immediately when a tube is punctured.
If you live in a cold climate, I would try to avoid the electric heat. It is very expensive.
